About the Artist

Alex Williams is a film animator and cartoonist based in London and Los Angeles. He was born in 1967, grew up in Notting Hill and was educated at Westminster, Camberwell and Oxford.

Over the past two decades, Alex has worked as animator, animation director, storyboard artist and character designer on over twenty feature films, including Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, The Lion King, The Iron Giant and Robots. He is currently working in Soho, supervising animation on a forthcoming Disney feature film.

Alex writes and draws the satirical cartoon strip Queen’s Counsel, which appears on Tuesdays in The Times. A collection of the best cartoons was recently published by JR Books, titled Lawyers Uncovered - Everything you always wanted to know but didn’t want to pay £500 an hour to find out.

His cartoons and drawings have been exhibited at the John Martin Gallery in Albemarle St, and can be further explored at www.qccartoon.com.

When in Los Angeles, Alex teaches animation at Gnomon School of Visual Arts in Hollywood.
